Yesterday, Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for 33 counties in anticipation of Tropical Storm Idalia. The Florida Division of Emergency Management is taking necessary steps to ensure the readiness of Florida's communities, infrastructure and resources in preparation for the storm, including those still recovering from Hurricane Ian.

The Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber is committed to the safety of its members and community and is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Idalia. You can find more information on our Hurricane Resource Page.

All Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber programming and in-person meetings for this week (August 28 - September 1) are canceled. This includes:

  • 8-29: Mayor's City of Tampa FY24 Budget Proposal Information Session
  • 8-30: B2B Networking Mixer at The Dan

Now is the time to stock up on your hurricane supplies. Consumers can purchase qualifying disaster preparedness supplies exempt from tax Saturday, August 26 through Friday, September 8.
