Empowering Differences Through Photography

June 18, 2021 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM (EDT)

Description

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is excited to announce our collaboration with author Ashley T Brundage and Stonewall Museum to celebrate Pride Month.

This event will include a panel discussion regarding photography and how it can empower our differences to push us forward in life. The panelists include Ashley T Brundage, Founder, and President of Empowering Differences, Kalup Linzy, and other LGBTQ+ artists of Tampa Bay.

Food and Cocktails will be complimentary during the event, donated by Fuzzy's Tacos, St. Pete Distillery, and Sweet Cakes by Clara.

Stonewall Museum’s Hunter O’Hanian curated an exhibition titled, Art or Politics, to be on view during the week of the event (13 June – 19 June), providing a history of the work and lives and LGBTQ+ artists in the 20th and 21st century.

This event will be available in person and online. Tickets are available for purchase below. If you are not able to make it to the museum, follow the Zoom link which we will also stream via Facebook Live:
