Governance
Meeting time: 2nd Tuesday, 12 Noon (Virtual)
Ensures strong, effective leadership through board development, nominations, bylaws review, and compliance oversight. This committee also leads the recruitment of new Directors and evaluates board performance.
Membership
Meeting time: 2nd Thursday, 3pm (Virtual)
Drives member recruitment, engagement, and retention. This committee shapes the member experience, develops value-driven programming, and supports outreach to potential members that reflects the diversity of Tampa Bay’s business community.
Marketing and Promotions (previously communications)
Meeting time: TBD (Virtual)
Manages the Chamber’s messaging, branding, and public relations strategies. This committee ensures clear, consistent communication with members and the community across digital platforms, newsletters, media, and events.
Finance (Chaired by Treasurer)
Meeting time: 2nd Wednesday, 12 Noon (Virtual)
Oversees the Chamber’s financial health, including budgeting, reporting, and investment strategies. This committee collaborates closely with the Treasurer and President/CEO to ensure financial transparency and sustainability.
The Chamber shall maintain accurate and complete books and records of accounts, minutes of the proceedings of its Board and committees, and a record of members entitled to vote. All records shall be kept **in accordance with applicable Florida statutes and IRS regulations.
Economic Development and Community Engagement
Meeting time: 3rd Thursday, 12 Noon (Virtual)
Strengthens partnerships that support business growth and inclusive economic opportunity. This committee represents the Chamber in civic initiatives, advocates for member businesses, and fosters programs that advance equity and prosperity in the LGBT and allied community.
The committee will also cultivate strategic partnerships with civic, corporate, and nonprofit stakeholders to expand access to capital, contracting, and economic opportunity for LGBT-owned and allied businesses
