Impact Award Categories:
Corporate of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Small Business of the Year, LGBTBE of the Year, President's Award.
Criteria:
Nominees were based on how the person’s/organization's leadership benefits the Tampa Bay Region. Each nominees exemplify the LGBT Chamber core values: Inclusiveness, Integrity, Collaboration, and Accountability. The following recognition criteria should be considered:
- Exemplify the highest standards of their profession
- Demonstrate excellence and success in their business and profession
- Promote diversity, equality, and inclusiveness in their workplace and/or professional capacity
- Model commitment to sustainability in daily business practices
- Demonstrate leadership in the community; engage in significant volunteer activities and be a positive LGBTQ or allied role model for others
- Visibly support the LGBTQ community by providing contributions and/or in-kind services and support to individuals, nonprofit organizations, political issues, or other community-wide causes
Conditions & Eligibility:
- All nominees must be members in good standing with the Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber.
- Current Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber officers, elected officials or declared candidates running for public office are not eligible for nomination.
- Awards are only available to be accepted in person at the State of the Chamber Luncheon on February 22nd.
How the selection process works:
- The nominee must complete this questionnaire packet, which is recommended to be completed on their own behalf (business nominations should be completed by a member of leadership).
- All submitted packets will be reviewed by the LGBT Chamber’s judging panel to determine the honorees. The panel is made up of members, committee members, board members and staff.
- To be considered, the nominee MUST submit their packet online by the due date, which will be communicated with the nominee in the email containing the online packet.
Again, the nominee will receive a questionnaire packet to complete via email. It is recommended to be completed on their own behalf or by member of leadership, also letters of reference are strongly encouraged. Up to 3 letters will be accepted.
